NAPIER, August 31. Charged with a breach of the censorship publicity regulations, James Holt, aged 76, appeared before Mr. Miller, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court this morning. For defendant, Mr. L. W. Willis said his client, a man of excellent character, belonged to one of the largest building firms in Napier. In sending such information overseas he now realized how foolish he had been. . “This is just another case of a highly respectable citizen who has erred, but m this case he had written a most careless letter which I am quite certain he would hot have w’ritten 20 years ago without thinking twice about it,” said the magistrate. The public had been warned not to divulge information in letters. Defendant was fined £5. \.
