Police Invite Help From
Public Com inion Special Service. WAI ROA, August 28. Chief-Detective J. B. Young, who is in charge of investigations into the deaths of Brigadier Annie Smyth and her sister. Rosamond Jane Smyth, whose bodies, brutally batteied, were found in the Salvation Army ball on August 21, told a reporter that the police had received much information of the women’s movements from the public, but wished to obtain as much more as possible about Brigadier Smyth’s movements on August 8. “We also want to know as much as possible about the movements of strangers and visitors to the district on August 7,8, 9 and 10. We will welcome any information at all. It is not for people having information to decide its importance; that is our job. If a person knows something and cannot see us we will l>e please ! to call and see them.” Routine inquiries are proceeding.
