Arrival In New York (Received August 26, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 25.
■The diplomatic exchange ship Gripsholm has arrived from Japan, bringing 1451 Americans and Canadians, including the United States Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Harry Grew, the Minister to Siam, Mr. Peck, and also foreign correspondents, missionaries, and business men. A thorough examination by officials of the Departments of State and Justice, Army and Navi Intelligence, and the Customs will be made before the passengers are permitted to leave the ship. _________
