Abolition By Vichy LONDON, August 25. Vichy reports that MM. Laval and Petain liave wiped out the French Parliament. A decree signed by both abolishes the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies as permanent organizations. The decree also eliminates the position of President of the Senate.
