FRENCH PARLIAMENT
Abolition By Vichy LONDON, August 25. Vichy reports that MM. Laval and Petain liave wiped out the French Parliament. A decree signed by both abolishes the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies as permanent organizations. The decree also eliminates the position of President of the Senate. An official statement says it is not considered necessary to continue the existing Parliamentary conditions, since neither Chamber will meet again unless M. Petain especially convokes them.
