Brazil, in declaring war on the Axis, omitted Japan, from whom, it was explained, Brazil had suffered no aggression. The positions oE the other belligerent Latin American States is likewise of interest. Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Honduras, Panama, and .Salvador, all declared war against Germany, Italy and Japan, while the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, and Nicaragua, on the other hand, declared war on Japan alone.
