“Tough Sacrifices”

President Roosevelt announced at a Press conference that forthcoming steps to control the cost of living would include stabilization of farm .prices and wages. The new anti-inflation programme would probably be announced in a radio speech and in a message to Congress about Labour Day. The President added -that the American people must expect to .have to make tough sacrifices. 1
