Premises Found For Women In The Services

Suitable premises for a servicewomen s club in Wellington had I een found, the mayoress, Airs. 'l'. C. A. Hislop, announced when opening the new Combined Services’ Hostel for men in AV ellingtou yesterday. The need was a real one and the Women's Metropolitan Patriotic Commitlee had inspected premises in Hnnnah's Buildings. Lambton Quay, llicse had now been approved and when ready would provide central club premises to meet the needs of women in the. services. At the meeting of the Provincial la-til-otic Council earlier in the day, the mayor, Air T <’ A. Hislop, who presided, said hat a proposal of this kind hall been nut forward some time ago. but conditionshad changed.
