Wooldridge, the party gave a t well,mr non-stop entertainment of popmar items. Miss Margaret Gates’ studio supplied some excellent talent.. I.he iollowing artists contributed to ;i happy show: Helen McLeod, Marii McLeod, Valerie Wilkin Puhi Walker, Betty Brown. Mavis Spaekman. Violet- Jones. Ron O'Grady, Erie Foley, Jim Davidson, Bernard Webb, ami Ralph Wilkin the accompanists were Margaret Oafs and Mrs. Bernard Webb. The party was afterward entertained to supper m the camp, the officer in command expressing the appreciation of the officers and men.
The sharp drop in prices of eggs, ot from tai. to Bd. a dozen, which has taken place in New Plymouth, is explained by the fact that .local producers lune been sending some ot the metl'opolitaii markets where ruling prices have been higher. A fall in those .markets resulted in many more eggs being sold locally, transforming the former scarcity to a glut. A. committee has been formed to handle surplus egg production.
