OBITUARY

Mr. E. S. Ollerenshaw

The death occurred unexpectedly on Sunday evening in Buller Hospital of Sir. E. S. Ollerenshaw, who recently retired from the Post and Telegraph Department on superannuation after 41 years' service, says a Press Association message from Westport. He entered the service in 1901 at Greymouth, and was stationed at Lower Hutt, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Hawera, Boss, Waikouaiti, Richmond, and Westport, where he was chief postmaster. He is survived by his wife, a son, and two daughters. Mr. F. R. Littler Mr. Frederick R. Littler, formerly of Eketahuna, died recently at Taonui, Feilding, aged 49. He settled at Eketahuna 24 years ago after his return from the Great War, and married Miss Ivy Kathleen Jsakson at Mauriceville. Mr. Littler was a successful farmer, and at the time of his death a director of the Rongokako Dairy Company. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge at Eketahuna, and to the R.S.A. The effects of being gassed while on active service contributed to his death. Mr. Littler moved to Taonui only recently. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Hugh and Mervyn Littler, and a daughter. Phyllis. _ The funeral service was conducted by Canon ■Woodward. Mr. T. J. McGregor The death has occurred in Auckland of Mr. Thomas John McGregor, aged 82, states a Special Service message. Born at. Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula, he took an active part, in the development of the dairying industry in Taranaki and Gisborne. He erected the Kia Ora butter factory, near Gisborne, and conducted it as a proprietary concern until the industry was sufficiently established to enable the farmers to take it. over as a cooperative concern. On leaving Gisborne Mr. McGregor went to the Waikato, and for some years- he was farming near Morrinsville. On giving up farming he vnt to live in Auckland. Mrs. McGregor died eight, years. Mr. McGregor is survived by four sons and four daughters.
