AIRMAN KILLED

A sergeant pilot of the Royal Aew Zealand Air Force, Alfred Reginald Philip Saul, was killed on Wednesday in an aircraft accident while currying out combat exercises. Sergeant Pilot Saul was a sou ot Mrs. and the late -Mr. R. W. Saul, of Aurora Street, Petone. He took part iu tie campaign in Malaya, and was among the last to be evacuated. During the campaign he hud to abandon his plane three times due to engine trouble, and on one occasion lie came down in the sea. Another time he received a shrapnel wound iu the arm while on the ground. He was one of the youngest New Zealanders in Singapore.
