Hurdlers School. . . Kanui te Pai schooled again, this time over six hurdles, having Renascor as a mate. Both horses jumped well and arc fit. Unless there is a decided break in the present weather the tracks at Riccarton will be in spring-like order, and it will not be much use backert for horses that owed a good deal of their prominence at Wellington to the hca vy going. L. G. Morris said that he hopes the tracks will keep as they are at present, as he is sure Foxiana will appreciate the firm going as much as any other runner, despite life ability to run in Dad ground. The good going will also help the other topweights to carry their burdens more easily. Disappointing Race Form. One of the best track gallopers at Rmcarton is Stabilize, but his public form has been disappointing. He may be ridden by J. Williamson on Saturday.

Nightmarch Colours. The Nightinarch colours were carried on Saturday in the Maiden Race by Valiant, a five-year-old gelding by Nightmai’ch from the Limond mare Variant. For some reason Valiant had never previously started in a race. He is a good-looking gelding who moves well, and one or two keen track watchers here have a good opinion of him, though they think he does not begin well enough to win sprint races. Valiant is to rjm over seven furlongs in the Avonhead Handicap on Saturday.

Sent Home. , , , Anglo-French hurt himself when he fell on Saturday and will not. race at the meeting. His stablemate, Colonel French, has also been sent home, so that Messrs. Hazlett Bros., who won the National last year, will not have a steeplechaser at the. meetlug. Their, only represeulative ■ will be Noko in the hurdle events.
