For the first time in history, a citizen of the United States lias stood sponsor for a member of the British Royal Family, President Roosevelt being one of the god-parents of' the second son of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, who was born on American Independence Day and who was christened today by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Prince was named Michael George Charles Franklin and will be known as Prince George of Kent.
