LONDON, July 3. Mr. Walter Nash paid a surprise visit to a New Zealand forestry unit. He walked iuto one of the comfortable wooden huts and conversed with some of the men. Mr. Nash quickly found links with Kaikohe, Taumarunui, and other parts of New Zealand. The unit cordially welcomed Mr. Nash when he addressed them in the dinner hour. The men expressed appreciation of their housing and other conditions. En route to the camp, Mr. Nash visited Lord Passtield and Mrs. Beatrice Webb, and discussed with them post-war reconstruction and development.
