EXEMPT FROM JURY SERVICE

When eight men who had been called for jury service were applying for exemption in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday, the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) remarked that jury service might have to become an essential service, and the first, of essential services.
