Japanese In Aleutians WASHINGTON, July 31. The Navy Department spokesman declared that there are 10,000 Japanese in the western. Aleutian Islands, half of whom are afloat, and half ashore. ‘ He added that aerial reconnaissance had failed to disclose the presence of Japanese in the Pribylov Islan'ds, 250 miles north of Dutch Harbour. Mr. Anthony Dimond, Alaskan delegate to the United States Congress, had previouslv asserted that Japanese forces had‘landed in the Pribylov Islands.
