NEW ZEALAND NEWS Manchester Paper Wants More
(By Telegra'V.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Special Correspondent.) LONDON, July 30. "We would like to know a great deal more about the magnificent things the New Zealanders aro doing ut home. It is the more necessary because they prefer always to act than to talk about themselves,” says tlie “slaneliester Guardian,” commenting editorially on Mr. Nash's visit. llcferring to Mr. Nash’s suggestion that the Japanese would have acted wisely if they bad invaded New Zealand instead of running into the Midway Island defeat, the "Guardian” points out the lengthy communications the Japanese would have had to keep up if they had succeeded in landing in New Zealand. “Supplies would have to be maintained by sea,” it says, “and the Allies at tlie worst should always have been able to stop that. Perhaps, after all, the Japs were very wise."
