Wellington Figures For July
And Seven Months Net Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington last month shows a decrease compared with July, IMI. Increases are shown under all other heads. For the seven months of the current year the position is the same. Last month’s net Customs revenue totalled £203,698, compared with £287 - 269 in July. 1941, a decrease of ±83,071. For the seven months the figures are £1,554,620 ami £1,738,247 respectively, a decrease of £183,627.' . Collections of sales tax in July totalled £104,583, against £97.148 in July, 1941, an increase of £7435. For the seven months the totals are £6i6,3i9 and £651,313 respectively, an increase ot £25,066. . , . u Beer excise collections last mpntb were £10.563, compared with £9076 in July, 1941, an increase of £1487. For the seven months the totals are £bu,34O and £59,912 respectively, an increase ot £25,428. , , War tax under its four separate heads totalled £369,279, agaiitst ±133,47« m July, 1941, an increase of £230,84)3.
