The new racing season will be officially opened in the North loland at Hastings today, ■when the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club, in association with the Dannevirke Hunt Club, will stage a combined race meeting. The fields secured for all events are good, and there is every prospect of an excellent day’s racing. The Hastings track is one of the best provincial courses, being roomy with a long straight which glvce every horse a chance.
