Meeting REVIEW OF FIELDS Dominion Special Service. CHRISTCHURCH, July 31. The Christchurch Hunt Club's annual steeplechase meeting at Rlccarton touiorrow promises to bo the most successful in the club’s history. The fields are not only larger than in recent years, but the class of horse engaged is well above the usual and, with many horses engaged In Hie major events at the Grand National meeting -being seen out, there will be widespread interest in the racing. There were several heavy showers last night and again today, but indications this evening pointed to an improvement for tomorrow. The track, however, will be 'soft and will cut up as the day progresses and form based on early Ideas may he upset. Acceptances for the Maiden Stakes number 30, and as the safety number for the six-furlong post at Riceiirton is id provision has had -to be made to run the race in two divisions as follows:—-First division: Aqultane, Daffodil, Tempe, Desert Love, Full Pitch, Retainer, Lady Mldlan, Mybel, Overland Red, Valiant, Eulogia, Gay Fort, John Gay, Junior, Old Glory and Pharmacist.
