OBITUARY
Sir Flinders Petrie (Received July 30. 10 p.m.) LONDON, July 29. The death occurred in Jerusalem last night nt the age of 89 of Sir William Flinders Petrie, the grentwt authority on at.cient Egypt and the creator of archaeology as an exact science. The British Museum, and many other collections were enriched by material Sir William gained during 30 expeditions.
