FIRE-WATCH SERVICE

Numerous aspects of the service will be dealt with by the city fire protection organizer, Mr. V. E. Hampson-Tindale, at a meeting of fire-watchers, building organizers, and oivners and occupiers of buildings in the vulnerable area of Weilington, to be held in the Town Hall tonight at 7,30 o'clock. The mayor will preside. An explanation will be made of the necessary changes and the problems which have yet to be met as regards equipment, accommodation for watchers, duty periods, liability of occupiers and owners, and future operations. Questions will be answered at the end of the meeting. Building organizers or their deputies will hand in at the door a slip of paper on which is written their names and the building or buildings under their control.
