MEMBERS RESIGN

Technical College Board Resolutions placing on record appreciation of the services of two retiring members who had been on the board for a period of 21 years were adopted last night by the Wellington Technical Col lege board of governors. Mr. Ij. McKenzie, who was appointed to the board in 1921, recently notified the city council that lie could not accept appointment for a further term. In a letter to‘the board last night he recalled the days when the working classes were conducted in an old school «hed, and said he never regretted any of the time he had given to the college, which had done great work in Empire building. “He has been a member continuously and has seen the acceptance of the experiment of technical education by the people of Wellington, and the steady growth and development of the college. By his willing service he has helped io build the tradition of service to all that has become the watchword of the college,” said the director, Mr. R. G. Ridling, of Mr. McKenzie. Similar tributes were paid to the work of Mr. J. J. Clark, whose term of office on the education board, and as its representative on the technical college board, has expired, and who tendered his resignation. He was a former pupil of the old technical college.
