IU-1.i1.111i s SERVICES. I CHRISTADELPHIAN ) LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH (God willing) | 0.0. F HALL, ALLEN STREET. SUNDAY. AT 7 I’.M. Subject : “WHAT THE DEVIL REALLY IS” -FORASMUCH THEN AS f THB (’ll 11.DREX ARE PAR 1 AKERS OF FLESH ANU BLOOD. HE l.lesiis) HIMSELF LIKEWISE 'POOR PART OF Tl IB >’; : ' THAT THROUGH Dr.Alil HL MIGHT DESTROY HIM 1 A HAO THE POWER OF DEA I ', THAT IS THE DEML (llebs. 2:1-1). In the course of this lecture the woejl" of the Apostle Paul quoted above will be considered and it will be shown: (1) THAT Jesus was a “partaker of flesh and blood"—"He eatne hi the llesh" (llebs. 2:1-1, 2 John 7, 1. John ■ I-.;! Gals. 4:4. Roms. 1:3. 2 lim. 2:8). (2) THAT "the flesh" is "sinful flesh,” i.e., "llesh in which dwells no good thing,” because of the sentence God imposed upon it as a I,esu LL?/ Adam’s transgression (Roms. .oK, Roms. 6:6. Roms. 7:18-2-1, Roms. 8:3. John 6:63. Phil. 3:21. 1 Cor. 15:53. 1 Pet. 1:4). (3) THAT therefore all the descendants of Adam are constitutional sinners and consequently subject to death tor possession of a "body of sin is possession of that which “hath the power of death” (Roms. 5:12, 1 Cor. Io Roms. 5:19-21). (-1) AS Jesus was a “partaker of llesh and blood” He possessed "that which hath the power of death,” i.e.., a "bodv of sin" and that was 'J Hl‘. DEVIL" that was destroyed through Christ's death (Hebs. 2:14, 2 Cor. 5:21. Hebs. 9:26, 1 John 3:ti-8, Roms. 8:3). (5> "The llesh” is a real DEVlL—the cause of sin. disease and death (Gals. 5:19-21. Roms. 8:1.3, Roms. 13:14, Gals. 5:21. Gals. 6:7-8, James 1 :14, Acts 10:38.. 1 Cor. 15:22). (6) God purposes to "take away” sin, disease, and death from the earth and that will be achieved through Jesus “The Lamb of God. which TA KETH AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD”—the process began when Christ died and will be completed at the end of the Millennium when sin and its consequences ’leath will be “no more’’ —then "TUB DEVIL.” "the sin of the world, will have been completely "taken awav” through the death of "The Lamb of God” (John J :29, 1 Cor. 15:24-28, Rev. 21:1-5. Isa. 25:8). Questions invited. No collection. If unable to attend, write “Bible Truth." c/o above Hall, for free literature. ACCOMMODATION—(Continued).
