CHRYSANTHEMUMS

Need Mulching Now

Chrysanthemums are making rapid growth now and need mulching for added nourishment and to counteract the hot weather. Old, well-rotted cow manure and humus is most beneficial, but green grass clippings are not to be despised.

Slugs are very partial to the young growth of chrysanthemums, and may be kept at bay by ringing each plant witli soot or lime.

Stakes should be placed in position before the plants get too tall.
