PRESBYTERIAN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Dominion Special Service PALMERSTON N„ November 14.

The deliberations of Hie General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand were continued today, the Moderator. Kt. Rev. G. 11. Jupp. Dunedin, presiding. The assembly received a section of the report of tlie life and work committee. which dealt with centennial celebrations. The assembly welcomed tlie publication of "Tlie History ot tiie Presbyterian Cliureh in New Zealand. 1840-1040.” All those responsible for tlie publication were thanked, and congratulated. specially Dr. Elder. Professor of History in rite University of Otago. Volumes of the history were presented to Hie Very Rev. .1. Lawson Robinson, of St. Andrew's. Christchurch. Moderator in the centennial year, and to Mr. Watson. Greetings were received from Hie General Assembly of the Cliureh of Scotland, tlie Presbyterian Church in Ireland, ami the Reformed Church of Hungary. On behalf of tlie National Bible Society of Scotland, tlie Rev. T. Miller, of St. Stephen’s. Dunedin, presented an inscribed Bilde to the assembly for use at its minimi gatherings.
