Increase In Net Revenue HIGHER EXPENDITURE Net railway revenue for the period front the beginning of the current financial year on April 1 up to October 12 amounted to £624,790. as compared with £191.939 for Hie corresponding period last year. Revenue amounted to £5.650,489 as compared witli £5.017.730, an increase of £632.759. and expenditure totalled £5.025.699. or £199,908 more than that for last year. For tlie four-weekly period ended October 12 tlie net revenue was £30.777. as against £22.371 for tlie corresponding four weeks of last year. Tlie revenue for tlie four weeks was £764, 928. as compared witli £711,329 last year, an increase of £53.599. mid expenditure at £734,151 represented mi increase of £45.193 over the corresponding four weeks last year.
