MORE SUCCESSES FOR GREEKS
New Heights Captured ITALIANS RETREAT ON TWO FRONTS LONDON, November 14. Latest reports of the lighting in Greece indicate that the Greek successes in the Findus mountains area, where the Italian alpine division was routed, are continuing and that, as a result of further advances, all the important mountain tops in the area are in Greek hands. Greek forces’ successes in the mountains have driven the Italians back over the Albanian frontier. The latest Greek communique says that as a result of a successful attack by Greek units in the Pindus region, a new series of heights on Albanian territory were occupied after a light. Earlier todav it was officially stated in London that a further retreat of six miles would take the Italians back over the frontier into Albania. The Greek communique indicates that already more than that distance has been gained. The earlier report said that the remnants of the defeated Italian alpine division were streaming back toward the frontier, leaving behind them equipment and prisoners. Greek planes have attacked Koritza in Albania and destroyed several Italian planes on the ground. They also shot down one Italian bomber. Another area in which the Italians are retreating is on the Adriatic coast. Here Italian advanced patrols penetratedjnto the country between the Kalamas and Acheron Rivers,, some 25 nfiles inside Greece, but the latest news reaching London is that the Greeks are pushing the Italians back northward to the Kalamas River. An Athens message says that a new Italian division i.- reported to have arrived on the Koritza front in Albania, increasing the strength to five divisions. Italian bombers killed 50 and wounded 140 people in Janina yesterday. .... ... The Athens correspondent of “The Times” says.that four fresh Italian divisions have landed in Albania in the last few davs. Iwo further divisions are reported to be held in readiness at Italian ports for embarkation to Albania. The Rome wireless said that Italian losses in the Greek campaign were 372 killed. 1000 wounded and 620 missing.
