R.A.F. Bombers Over Germany MANY OBJECTIVES Wednesday’s Attacks LONDON, November 14. R.A.F. bombers last night attacked a number ol objectives in Germany, including some in Berlin. An agency message from Berlin says an air raid alarm was sounded in the city. The "raiders passed" signal was given al. 2.36 a.m. The official German communique admits that British planes were over Berlin causing several tires. (British Official Wireless.! These operations are in addition to raids on railway centres and factories in the Ruhr and docks at Flushing ami Dunkirk and on several enemy aerodromes. One British aircraft is missing. QUIET NIGHT FOR BRITAIN Few Enemy Aircraft Active LONDON, November 14. Onlv a few enemy aircraft were over Britain last night. Bombs fell in one district in the London area and in the east and south-east of England. The "raiders passed” signal was given in the early hours. A few people were injured. An agency message reports that an attack on shipping off the east coast of Scotland was driven off by a barrage of gunfire. Some people in a south coast town saw a raider fall in flames. Scattered raids were attempted in several parts of the country during the day, most of them in south-east. England. In none of these, states an Air Ministry and Ministry of Home Security communique, were many bombs dropped. Scarcely any damage and casualties were caused anywhere. Four German bombers were shot down during the day. LONDON, November 13.
Another bomb landed last night beside the printing works which were the scene of the tragedy reported yesterday, showering debris on rescue squads who were still burrowing for survivors of the previous night’s disaster.
Dawn revealed similar tragic scenes in several parts of the capital. A number of persons were killed instantly when a heavy calibre bomb partially demolished a cinema, and it is feared that many others are still trapped under the debris. Acres of London were carpeted with broken glass by the great weight of bombs dropped. The blast from them played a heavy part in the Germans orgy of useless destruction.
