Resumption Of Work This Morning
DISPUTES COMMITTEE TO MEET Representatives of the Trades and Labour Council attended a meeting ot the workers from the AV. D. and 11. O. AVills tobacco factory, Petone, yesterday afternoon, when a decision was reached to resume work this morning. This announcement was made last night by the Minister of Labour. Mr. Webb, wire said that before the meeting be was approached by representatives of the Trades and Labour Council ami the tobacco workers, and he undertook, providing tlie workers returned to work, to set up au Emergency Disputes Committee to deal witli the question of tlie dismissal of tlie worker, Mr. Matthews. This committee, which consists of three representatives from both sides, will meet under the chairmansliip of Mr. J. A. Gilmour al 10.30 a.m. today.
