FRIEDMAN’S FAREWELL RECITAL
'There cannot bo many tinor Pressbooks than that of Ignaz Friedman, the eminent. Polish pianist, who will Phiy his farewell recital iu the Wellington Lown Hail on Tuesday next. One gem taken at random reveals a great critic as saying: “Ignaz Friedman’s last recitals demonstrated that he must be counted among the world’s grand masters of the piano. He displayed enchanting musical Dualities and virtuosity of the highest degree. In all that he played .he combined the highest art with oianistic elegance.” The 'box plan for next Tuesday s concert is at the D.T.C. and as all proceeds go to the patriotic funds, the attendance is expected to be large. The recital js under tne patronage of, and will be attended by, his Excellency the Governor- Gen era)., Viscount Galway.
