RESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL
Discontented With War Effort I British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 8. .Mr. H. \V. Butcher has resigned from the post of Parliamentary private secretary to Mr. R. IL Bernays, Parliamenrnry Secretary to the Ministry of Transport. In a letter explaining his decision, he says that he feels that unless the war is conducted at greater spee'd the decision of peace will be delayed and the price of victory will be higher than necessary. He for his release from the post in order to have greater freedom to support the more effective prosecution of the -war.
