New Zealand’s Sympathy LOSS TO BRITISH LABOUR The following cablegram has been gent by the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, to the Right Hon. C. !<• Attlee, Leader of the Opposition, House of Commons, ' London: “I desire on behalf of the New Zealand Government to express deep regret at the death of George Lansbury. His devotion to the principles he believed in throughout a long life, and his energetic and (distinguished services as journalist, legislator, and Minister, won him a foremost place in the esteem of the peoples of the British Commonwealth of Nations, while his consistent and sincere work for the cause of peace during many years was gratefully recognized and highly appreciated throughout the world. We sincerely sympathize with the British Labour Party in their great loss, and would like you kindly to convey to his relatives our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.”
