"Charley's Aunt" Reaches London Screen
ARTHUR ASKEY’S latest starring film, “Charley’s (Big-Hearted) Aunt,” was shown to a packed audience on April 17 at the Cambridge Theatre, London. Freely adapted from the re-cord-breaking stage farce, the production unfolds a story of the impersonation of a visiting aunt by a scallywag Orford undergraduate to prevent expulsion. The picture is said to be generously mounted, embellished with a grand supporting cast, and directed with such tremendous zest.
