"Moonlight Is Silver" Next Thespian Production
“JJOONLIGHT is Silver,” by Clemenee Dane, has been chosen by the Thespians for their next major production. Comedies have always been a long suit of the Thespians, and “Moonlight is Silver” should be capably handled. The play was first produced at the Queen’s Theatre, London, in 1934, with a cast which was headed by Gertrude Lawrence, Douglas Fairbanks, jun., and Helen Hayes. A departure from the usual method of production is being made by .the Thespians iu that they have appointed two co-producers, Eric Bradwell and Russell Reid, to direct the play which is scheduled to open in the concert chamber about the middle of next month.
T)ICK POWELL is to be co-starred with his wife, Joan Biondell, in a picture tentatively called “I Want a Divorce.” The contract gives Powell his first picture role for more than a year and his first non-musical role for several years.
