ESPERANTO IN FILMS

How Esperanto has keen used by the Paramount Film Studios, was explained by Mr. Nelson Hill, president of the Karori Esperanto Club, at a recent meeting. The latest picture in which the neutral language is being used is “Road to Singapore,” a film recently released in the United States of America, in which the star, Bing Crosby, actually sings in Esperanto. This is the second time that Hollywood has used Esperanto as a practical solution. when the use of a national language might give some offence to the nationals concerned.
