Yesterday’s Quotations WELLINGTON EXCHANGE The latest buying and selling quotations reported yesterday on the Wellington Stock Exchange were as follows:—

Gold- Mining Returns

Blackball Creek return was 71oz. for 126 hours. Blackwater Mines return for April was as follows :—Crushed 4343 tons, yielding 1819 fine ounces of gold from all sources, including clean-up of the old mill, the value of which, taking gold at 168/- per ounce, was £15,280. Working expenses, not including ordinary or war gold duty, were £8646. Development expenditure was £667 and capital expenditure £844. Alexander Mines, Ltd., reports the following gold returns for the month of April:—Battery department, 150 tons of Ore crushed for 29dwts. melted gold. Cyanide department, 20oz. 14dwts. bullion. Total estimated value, £365. In addition 2? tons of concentrates was saved containing 17.330 z. valued at £139. In estimating the above value, gold has been taken at £8 per fine ounce.
