If Other Western Nations Attacked (Received May 7, 7.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 7. Brigadier-General George V. Strong, the United States army’s chief strategist, in a speech said the European war emphasized that the United States must be prepared to “outblitz any blitzkrieg” in the Western Hemisphere. He said the development of the aeroplane and highly mechanized forces made it a stark, realistic necessity for the United States to be ready to furnish aid swiftly to other western nations.if their territorial integrity were violated. The establishment of foreign bases in North or South America was an equally dangerous threat against the United States as against the country in whose territory jhe stronghold was seized.
