Conference Of Heads
'.Die annual conference of tlie Association of Heads of Registered Secondary Schools was held in Wellington yesterday, the president, Mr. R. G. C. McNab, presiding. The conference was visited by the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, and the Director of Education, Dr. C. E. Beeby, both of whom expressed appreciation of the association’s work. Addresses were given by Mr. McNab and Mr. I’. A. Smithells, superintendent of physical education for the Education Department. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr. Noel Gibson (Auckland) ; vice-president, Miss Irene Wilson (Wellington) ; honorary secretary, Miss E. Edwards (Auckland) ; honorary treasurer, Mr. W. C. Morris (Auckland) ; executive committee, Bro. Borgia (Auckland), Messrs. J. B. Mnwson (Christchurch) and IT. W. Gilligan (Wanganui). The executive headquarters of the association will be at Auckland.
