Assistance For Work In Egypt A decision io devote nil funds not required for immediate ridininist rative expenses to tlie establishment of a new Talbot House in Egypt was made nt a meeting of tlie Dominion council of Toe II in Hie Frederic Wallis Home. Lower Hutt, during tlie weekend. A request was received from Toe II in England for assistance in the establishment of tlie house.
A review of tlie past year’s work revealed a healthy position. Advice was received that Toe II in Australia would release one of its staff men for work among the troops iu the Near East.
Recognition was made of tlie useful work being done for ineniber.s of I lie armed forces on leave by tlie Toe H Servicemen's Club in Auckland and the Toe H House in Wellington. Further avenues of service to tlie troops were discussed in addition to the normal activities of the movemenl. A cinematograph record of the Toe II schools' section camp nt Resolution Bay was shown to the council. The development of the work among boys’ clubs and crippled children was reported and the importance ol' further youth work was stressed. Final approval was given to the draft of a Toe II handbook; early publication was decided on. The decision of the Dominion executive to keep all Toe H members on active service financial for the duration of the war was confirmed.
Among officers elected were: Dominion president, Colonel F. D. Bowerbank (Wellington) ; Dominion padre, Rev. A. W. Williams (Christchurch) ; chairman Dominion executive, Mr. A. S. Geddes (Christchurch) ; Dominion secretary, Mr. P. Ruston.
