Yesterday’s Reports

Wellington: Fine aud cold with a light southerly breeze which decreased in the evening. The minimum temperature on Sunday night was 42.5 deg., aud the maximum yesterday was 50.4 deg. At 6 p.m. yesterday the temperature was 42.8 deg., and the pressure was 1091.7 millibars. Palmerston North: Bright sunshine, passing cloud and a very cold south-east wind. . , Wanganui: Fine but cloudy, with light rain showers at night and considerable sea. The barometer reading at 4 p.m. was 999.3 millibars. New Plymouth: A heavy snowfall on Mt. Egmont overnight, then a bright morning, becoming overcast after noon, with light showers. Very cold. Barometer at 5 p.m., 995.6 millibars. Masterton: A cold day, overcast in the morning, but gradually improving. There was ii light, south-easterly breeze. Napier and Hastings: A dull day, with a south-west. wind. Waijiulturau: Dull aud overcast, with frequent cold showers. Maximum temperature, 54deg. Barometer falling, tho rending at 8 p.m. being 999.6 millibars. Auckland: Unsettled with passing showers and a moderate westerly wind. Barometric pressure continued to fall, tbe 5 p.m. reading being 1001 millibars. Christchurch: A strong south-west wind blew, accompanied _by frequent showers of rain. The maximum temperature was 41deg. The barometer fell slowly to 1014.3 millibars, but. was rising early in the evening, when the wind bad dropped. Dunedin: Heavy rain fell without ceasing and there was a moderate breeze from the south-west. Temjieratui'es were cool, the maximum being 50deg., aud tbe barometer was falling in the afternoon at 1009 millibars.
