Una Hill Gold Mines
Una Hill Consolidated Gold Mines Ltd. report that a full meeting of directors was held at Thames on May 1. An inspection of the mine workings and’ the new power plant was made and gave general satisfaction. Confidence was expressed that the good prospects recently revealed will immediately be opened up to the best advantage. The chamber at the new low level is completed and driving both to the north and south has proceeded for 15 feet in either direction. To the north, contact with the specimen reef junction may bo expected at any time, while to the south the “Flinty” junction is still some 16 feet away. Negotiations are proceeding- with the Mines Department in regard to the erection of a Government treatment plant in Thames. In the meantime a start will be made at once with the crushing of ore from the company’s No. 2 reef up to the full available capacity of the present School of Mines plant.
