CONCERT FOR SCHOOL FUNDS
There was a large and appreciative audience at the Birch Street! Hall, Lower Hutt, when a dance recital was presented in aid of the queen carnival being held to provide funds for an instructional bath at the school. Ballets, instrumental items and choruses were presented by a large number of young people, 'the standard of the programme being of a high order. Those taking part were Elva W'hite, Margaret Chambers, June Shanahan, Joy Doran, Colin Denby, I’atricia Elliott, Doris Laing, Jimmy. Evans, Joyce Walker, Peggy Keane, Jeannie Laing, L. Perry, J. Cottrell, Molly Binns, Elaine Edney, A. Abbott, M. Stevens, D. Ralph, V. Abbott, N. McCormack, B. Mills, Rita Ingham, . Patricia Wilson, Lesley Parry, Marie Cording, Patricia Gray, Marie Gough, V. Buckland, Freda Cooper, Betty Mills, and Vera Clyuia.
