MANY HELPERS
A.N.A. Club Evenings There were attendances of more than 200 at both the social evenings arranged by the A.N.A. Club in 'Wellington last week, the men mostly coining from the searchlight stations, naval reserve, and Trentham. The usual games and dancing were enjoyed, Mr. Middleton playing the dance music on Friday night and the orchestra on Saturday. During the week, A.N.A. Club girls took turns at being on duty at' the office of the Wellington Patriotic Council. Those who helped to entertain last ■week were Mesdames 11. F. O’Leary (hostess). E. Puttick, H. W. L. Saunders, M. H. Millar, T. B. McNeil, F. H. Whatley, A. B. Smith, D. 'White, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. B, Joyce, I Mr. and Mrs. John Murray, Mrs. Walter Schmid, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Clay, Mr. and Mrs. O. Guane, Mr. and Mrs. A.' Longmore and Mrs. Horton. Miss Patsy Ashbolt was in charge of the dancing. . Others who assisted were the following members of the Union of Jewish IVomen: —Mesdames S. Triester, M. Gotlieb, Mr. and Mrs. Shapiro, Mr. J. Benjamin and Misses L. and M. Van Staveren; also Mesdames E. Mexted and E. Windley, representing the Porirua Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union.
