ON SICK LEAVE

Wanganui M.P. Who Enlisted Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, May 3. Sergeant J. B. Cotterill, M.P. for Wanganui, is home on sick leave, and is undergoing medical treatment. It will depend on how be responds whither he will be able to serve witli life New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas. If he is not lit. for active service abroad, lie hopes to be allowed to serve within New Zealand. Sergeant. Cotterill enlisted soon after the outbreak of war and went into camp with tlie second echelon, later being given the rank of sergeant. Serious foot trouble developed, and he has bad to be invalided home in the meantime.

During Sergeant Cotterill’s absence on military duty tlie interests of his constituents in Wanganui have been watched by the mayor, Mr. M. J. Rogers.
