Misuse Of Sacrament Criticized LONDON, May 2. The. report of the Committee of Convocation of Canterbury seriously criticizes the ‘‘current misuse” of I lie sacrament of holy baptism and - the laxity of its administration. The report recommends a shortened and 1 simplified service for the public baptism of infants. “'The effect of the misuse,” states tlie report, "is that most parents, bring their children to the font with little understanding of tiic significance of the act and often from the most inadequate motives.”
