The Truth about Vitamin B Today you are lucky if you get 400 units of Vitamin Bi from your daily food. This is about 200 units short of the amount doctors insist we need for good appetite, resistance to colds, “ regularity,” restful sleep and strong nerves. Certain foods arc described as ‘‘rich ” in Vitamin B, but remember, there is rolled gold, 9 carat gold and 22 carat. There is oatmeal porridge with 6 or 7 units of Vitamin Bi per ounce, wholemeal bread with 15 to 30 units per ounce, ano Bemax with 400 units per ounce. To get your extra 200 units of Vitamin Bi, you would (for example) have to consume every day, over and above your ordinary food, 12 slices of wholemeal bread or 8 plates of oatmeal porridge. But there is no need to face such an ordeal. A single tablespoonful of Bemax gives you your daily extra quota. No other food contains anything like the quantity of Vitamin B that Bemax does. That’s why Doctors prescribe Bemax for constipation, “ nerves, sleeplessness, poor appetite, tendency to catch cold. Bemax gives you far more units of Vitamin B per penny than foods that look cheaper. Bemax is obtainable from Chemists and Stores. The tin contains a month’s supply for an adult. . , Write for free copy of Vitamins and Health” to B. Max (Dept. C. 22 ), G.P.O. Box aa. Wellington,
