N.Z.R.S.A. OFFICERS
Conference Concludes Mr. Perry, M.L.C., was re-elected unopposed president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association at the last session of its annual conference yesterday. The Dominion vicepresident, Mr. B. J. Jacobs, praised the work of Mr. Perry for returned soldiers through the association since the war. 'The delegates sang, "I 1 or He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” Responding, Mr. Perry said that the more be was in the work the more he liked it. He regretted he could not leave Wellington for more than a few days at a time and so accept more of tlie invitations to visit the branches. Other officers were elected as follows: Dominion vice-president, Mr. B. J. Jacobs; district vice-presidents, Messrs. D. J. Gates (Auckland), F. B. Lloyd (Wellington-Nelson-Marl-borough), W. Spillane (CanterburyWestland), and N. H. Colquhoun (Otago-Soutliland) ; lion, treasurer, Mr. J. D. Harper: executive committee, Messrs. A. T. Duncan, 11. B. Burdekin, W. E. Leadley, C. W. Batten (Auckland nomination), E. C. Hale (Otago-Soutbland), G. A. Hayden (Canterbury-Westland), C. 0. Bell ( Welliugton-Nelson-Marlborough), and 11. K. Biss and Lieutenant-Colonel A. Cowles; • representative on N.Z.E.F. Canteen and Regimental Funds Trust Board, Colonel M. Aldred; representative on War Pensions Board. Mr. J. D. Harper; representatives on Soldiers’ Civil Re-establishment League, Messrs. J. J. Goldsmith, C. W. Batten, and G. A. Hayden; representatives on Great War Funds Administrative Committee of Hie Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society, Messrs. E. C. Hale and H. Burdekin; representative on Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Mr. W. Horrobin.
