Technical Club Marks End Of Season ' The conclusion of its season was marked by the Technical Tennis -Club with a successful dance. Mr, F.. H. Paul, club president, briefly outlined the progress which the club had piade during the. past season, drawing attention to the fact that not only had the club won the senior B men’s championsltip in the 'Wellington- Lawn Tennis xWsociation interclub competitions with an unbeaten record, but also the club champion, Mr. R. >B. McKenzie, had been selected to represent 'Wellington in Wilding Shield matches; in addition to having won several tournaments including the triple crown at the New Zealand junior championships the third grade men had won their section of this grade, and in all the club had seven teams taking part in interelub matches, which showed clearly the enthusiasm of club members.

Mr. T. 11. Foden, secretary of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association, in congratulating the chib on its success, expressed the hope that the club would continue to progress as it had during the past season, and take its place among the leading clubs of the city. On behalf of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association. Mr. Foden presented the senior B men’s team with the championship certificate won by them. The club captain’s wife, Mrs. C. R. Lyon, in presenting the championship trophies, heartily congratulated the winners, who were as follows:—

Men’s Singles.—A grade. R. S. McKenzie; runner-up, W. J. Jupp; B grade, N. Webber; runner-up, W. Donib. Women’s Singles.—A grade, Miss V. Congreve; runner-up, Miss T. Weyburn. B grade, Miss M. Patou ; runner-up. Miss N. McKenzie. Men’s Doubles.—Messrs. D. and N. Dunn; runners-up, Messrs. O. Webster and E. Kuhn. Wonien’s Doubles.—Misses E. Hawkey and V. Congreve: runners-up, Misses A. Dentice and J. Crowes.

Combined Doubles.—Miss A. Dentice and R. S. McKenzie; runners-up, Miss V. Congreve and W. Jupp. Cups for the most improved players were awarded to Miss M. Dentice and Mr. K. R. Scott. An enjoyable bracket of modern songs was given during the evening by the “Rhythm Girls.” Misses I’. West, F. Sadler, and M. O’Neill.

The committee responsible for th<> successful evening was: Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Moore, Misses C. Hansen, A. Dentice. J. Crewes, M. Dentice, D. Roberts, and Messrs. F. Black, C. R. Lyon, L. G. Carr, M.C., E. Lander, G. Fowler, I. Gibson, G. S. Roberts, and J. May bury.
