Taradale Labour Party Branch Dominion Special Service. NAPIER, May 2. Following tlie defeat of a motion that the Taradale branch disaffiliate itself from the New Zealand Labotli Partv, tlie chairman and secretary, Messrs. G. Webb and R. Corrie, who sponsored the motion, resigned from the branch at a special meeting last evening. The amendment, which was moved by Mr. E. Ilonin aud seconded by Mr Armstrotig, was to Hie effect that action be deferred till a member of the national executive visited Taradale and addressed members of tlie organization. Voting for the amendment showed a majority of 35 votes to 14. Mr. Webb said his reason for calling a special meeting was to bring to a head the discord that had arisen since tlie Easter conference.
