Efficiency Of A.R.P. Personnel (Received May 2. 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY. .May 1. The crash of the Heinkel plane afforded an interesting test of the efficiency of the A.R.P. personnel. The police and fire brigade were on the spot immediately. 'The first first-aid patty arived within five minutes and the first rescue party within ten minutes. Further rescue parties' and parties of stretcher-bearers were dispatched within JO to 20 minutes. The first-aid parties were quickly supplemented bj mobile first-aid units, consisting . of doctors and nurses with full surgical equipment in specially-fitted lorries.
